HD37 Volunteers, Activists, PCPs, and Friends:
ONLY 30 DAYS UNTIL THE ELECTION! It will be a wonderful day with DEMOCRATS taking the lead in running this great country - I can't wait! Until then, it's CRUNCH TIME.
THANK YOU to all our Literature Dropping volunteers - with their help, we have covered all 53 precincts in House District 37. We had several volunteers who took more than one precinct. Special thanks go to Ted Fritschel who spent many hours assembling, boxing, calling, and braving the chilly garage. ALSO, thank you to super-droppers Justin and Jennifer Herrera with a total of NINE precincts dropped!
On to the next project: PHONE CALLS. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORANT STEP IN THIS ELECTION. You may remember that in 2006, we lost HD37 state rep by only 800 votes - there were 900 UNRETURNED DEMOCRAT MAIL IN BALLOTS. That can't happen this year. We are beginning on Tuesday, October 7 with phone calls to those who have requested mail in ballots - making sure they receive them, vote DEMOCRAT and return them right away.
We initially will be providing you with a list and a script to call that you can do at home. Then we'll try virtual phone banking - if you have access to the internet and a separate phone, you can also do this at home by accessing the VAN system. We will also be doing group phone banks at a central location at University and Arapahoe.

The Arapahoe County Dems will also be doing robo calls to all registered Democrats regarding mail in ballots and early voting. NOTE: Mail in ballots will cost $1.17 to return!!! There will also be drop off locations for mail in ballots.

Poll Watchers: We still have a large need for volunteers to serve as poll watchers on Election Day. If interested, please contact Vineta at vineta@aol.com or 303-713-9714 as soon as possible. Training will be provided prior to Nov 4th.
Election Judges: The county clerk still has opportunities for election judges in the county. This is a paid position and involves attending a training class and working the polling location for the entire day. If interested please contact contact Mike Hamrick mike@arapahoedems.org immediately. Additionally, some opportunities are also available to work at the election warehouse from Oct 14th through Election Day.
Arapahoe County Dems Office:Volunteers are needed to staff the office (Illif and Chambers) during the week so posted hours of operation can be extended. For more information contact Ron Adams ron@arapahoedems.org
