Subject: Poll Watchers
To all:
As we approach election season, we need to start thinking about poll watchers across the county. For those that aren't familiar with this process, we must submit names to the county clerk for approval before the election. Each of these forms must be signed by the county chair and the county clerk. A separate form is required for each precinct.
1) A person may be assigned to numerous precinct polling locations
2) The candidate may not be assigned a polling location within their district.
3) Poll watchers may only observe and review the names that have showed up to vote.
Poll watchers are both a valuable tool to ensure you get voters out that have not shown up to vote. Plus they are an invaluable tool for observing the election process for fairness, voter intimidation, and proper process for the conduct of the election.
Both the Arapahoe Dems and the Colorado Dems will have voter protection teams ready to respond to any polling location problems that may arise. We will supply you with this information prior to election day. Additionally, we are also allowed to have poll watchers at early vote locations which start on Oct 13th
Please help me with implimanting this by submitting the following:
1)Name and address of poll watcher
2) Precinct and/or precincts assigned
If this can be submitted in microsoft excel that would be prefered. It is in our best interested to submitt these at least 10 days prior to the election.
