The 2011 CDP Dinner is Saturday March 5th. We have reserved five tables to date. A current time we have 7 Seats remaining on these initial five Arapahoe County tables. If you would like to attend with fellow Arapahoe County Dems, please email as soon as possible. If we fill these reaming seven seats and have enough interest we can add another table but I will need to let the CDP know this asap.

Lifetime Achievement Award is in recognition of the contributions of Daniel Candelaria. Dan was a member of the Arapahoe County Democrats and the Colorado Democratic Party Latino Initiative. He was a Viet Nam Veteran who volunteered constantly. Dan died recently of cancer, and the award will be accepted by his wife Diane.

The Rising Star Award recognizes State Representative Rhonda Fields. Rhonda Fields was elected to serve the Colorado House of Representative for the 68th General Assembly in 2010. She becomes the first African American Woman elected to the state legislature to represent Aurora's House District 42, Arapahoe County. Representative Fields defeated a Republican candidate by a 2 to 1 margin, after State Rep. Karen Middleton decided not to run for re-election.
