Romanoff the Colorado Choice for United States Senate
March 4, 2010
In a couple of weeks, it will be caucus time, the somewhat antiquated but beloved process political parties nominate their candidates for public office. The marquee race is the United States Senate, and both Republicans and Democrats will begin the process of choosing a nominee caucus night. We believe the best choice for Colorado on the Democratic side is Andrew Romanoff, the former Speaker of the House in Colorado's General Assembly...
...passionate, committed, genuine. Those were the same qualities that made him the first Democratic Speaker of the House in a generation just a few years later. And that is the reason that the Denver Post, and papers all over the state editorialized that Andrew was the best choice for the Senate vacancy a year ago. So strong was his record as House Speaker, Governing Magazine named Andrew the national Public Official of the Year in 2008.
...That's why Andrew Romanoff is the best choice for Colorado in the United States Senate. He knows Colorado and its people, and accomplished more as Speaker than almost any other public servant than I can recall. He saved the state from fiscal catastrophe by tirelessly championing Referendum C. He saved schools across the state from literally falling apart. And he was a passionate fighter against the complacency that allows genocide to go unpunished...
...Andrew Romanoff should be the next Senator from Colorado.
