Dear Vorry,
I just got back from a pair of trips -- first to Vail, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs and Granby, then to Pueblo, Antonito, Alamosa, Pagosa Springs, Durango and Cortez. Each conversation was different, but one message came through, loud and clear: Washington isn't working. Not for most of us, anyway. Ordinary Americans aren't too big to fail. At a time when so many of us are losing our homes, our savings and our paychecks, we can't afford to play Washington's game. And we shouldn't have to. We deserve a Senate that cares more about our job security than its own. Click here to end Washington's pay-to-play politics. That's where the contrast between Washington and Colorado comes in. I built a strong record of legislative leadership by putting the needs of my constituents first -- and by finding allies on both sides of the aisle who were willing to do the same. In the San Luis Valley, I visited the construction site of two new elementary schools, which are being financed by the largest investment in school construction in state history. I am proud to have sponsored the BEST (Building Excellent Schools Today) Act and to have steered it through the House of Representatives by a vote of 64-1. As I reminded my colleagues at the Capitol, the quality of your education shouldn't depend on your zip code. Every child in Colorado deserves a safe and healthy place to learn. Click here to give our kids a fighting chance. I fought for that law because of students like the one I met in the San Luis Valley -- a young man who wanted to know why some of the floorboards in his school were too rotten to hold up a desk. His success is at stake, and he deserves someone who will stick up for him -- not just when the lights are on and the cameras are rolling, but when the real work begins. No one in this race knows Colorado better. No one has worked harder to solve our state's toughest problems. I will stand up to the powerbrokers in Washington, just as I have done throughout this campaign, and remind them that they work for us -- not the other way around. Stand with me now. Sincerely,

P.S.: I'll be back on the road next week. Will you contribute $30, or about the price of a tank of gas, to help us spread the word? This email was sent to: vcmoon@comcast.net To unsubscribe, go to: http://andrewromanoff.com/page/unsubscribe/
