Dear Flerlage for Congress Supporters, I want to thank each and every volunteer, donor, and supporter who contributed to my campaign. When we started building support for the campaign 20 months ago, we were full of hope and confidence that the 2008 Democratic victories would finally bring about the changes the voters wanted to see. I believed then, as I do now, that my strong convictions, to stand on principle, compromise on complex problems and implement solutions, would be embraced by the voters and business community of CD 6, but the political climate over the ensuing months was too much to overcome. We ran a good, clean and positive grassroots campaign and I am extremely proud of what we accomplished together. You became an invaluable part of my campaign, and for that I will always be grateful. Please join us tonight for the campaign wrap up and volunteer appreciation party starting at 5:30 pm. I look forward to expressing my appreciation for your efforts in person.
