Let's Support John At The Mines Debate

We encourage you to attend the Colorado School of Mines Debate on Friday.  As has been the case for the last two years, Mr. Coffman will not be present, choosing to send a surrogate to debate John. Let's use this opportunity to show there is no "enthusiasm gap!"

If you haven't seen John in action lately, you'll want to attend this debate.  He's getting standing ovations and motivating audiences to re-engage and re-gain the fervor we felt in 2008.

The CSM debate is open to the public, there's no fee and it starts at 5:30 pm in Bunker Memorial Auditorium, 900 16th Street, Golden, CO.  We will be holding a rally at 5 pm on Friday before the debates start.  So why not come early and join us at the 16th Street entrance to Bunker Auditorium for sign waving and distributing campaign materials?

For more info about the debates go to www.csmrepublicans.org to read the description provided by the president of the CSM Republicans. When mentioning our candidates, he says "the Democrat candidate..."  Why do they do that?

A donation in lieu of or in addition to your appearance at the debate will be appreciated.  Sept 30 is the 3rd Q fundraising deadline.  A contribution of $10 or more will make a huge difference in John's campaign.  Will you help again before midnight?

Agenda for Progress

John Flerlage, the Democratic Nominee for U.S. Congress in Colorado's CD 6, announces today that once elected, he will pursue a specific agenda to move his District and America forward.

Flerlage stated, "As a fighter pilot in the Marines, I always had a plan. In Congress, I will continue that practice and promote innovative and bi-partisan solutions to the problems we face. I believe that America's best days lie ahead, but we must implement these proposals. We cannot continue policies that devastate workers and small business while transferring the wealth of America overseas."

Flerlage declares that in the next two years, he will fight to:

  • Create at least 15,000 jobs in the 6th District;
  • End combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan while continuing the fight against violent extremists;
  • End VA claims processing delays;
  • Secure America's borders and implement an effective guest worker program;
  • Create BRICs (Bonds that Rebuild and Invest in our Communities);*
  • Adopt Congressional Incentive Pay (CIP), pay cuts for Congress while there is a deficit;
  • Increase production of clean, American-made energy and reduce pollution with a carbon trust;
  • Increase exports by 20%; and
  • Increase graduation rates from high school and college.

*BRICs provide a significant tax cut by allowing the investor to buy municipal bonds with pre-tax dollars to fund infrastructure, schools and other qualified projects. BRICs provide a direct and locally controlled investment into our communities.

"Solving these challenges requires positive action. My opponent voted against small business and supports a new pledge that will bankrupt our country. We must balance the budget, create jobs and develop a 21st century strategy for our defense and energy needs," Flerlage stated. "If we don't act soon, we will be leaving our children a more dangerous world filled with mountains of debt and mountains of trash. We need to do the hard work now."

Please support John now with a donation of any amount.  The fundraising deadline is nearly upon us, and your donation could put us over the magic number it takes to loosen purse strings in Washington!

Catch John on the Michael Brown Show

John will have a one-hour interview with Michael Brown on NewsRadio 850 KOA on October 11th at 7pm.  Mark your calendar and be sure to tune in!  This is Michael Brown of "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job," fame.
