Fwd: Contact your friends This is a tax continuation that we need

TO:  Citizens Committee for Parks and Recreation

It is time for you to contact key people who live in the SSPR District  (Littleton, Sheridan, Lone Tree and Centennial) and invite them to an informational meeting regarding the ballot issue that will ask voters to extend the existing one mill property tax.

The meeting will take place:

Wednesday, February 17, 6:30 p.m.
Bemis Public Library, 6014 South Datura Street, Littleton 80120

We will need support and assistance with the campaign that is vital for our neighborhood parks, trails and open space that we know and love.

Please let me know the names of the people who commit to attending so we can anticipate the numbers.

Should you have questions, please contact me by e-mail. Thank you all for your participation in this effort.

FYI:
Last night at the SSPRD board meeting they approved the language and authorized the election for the extension of the one mill property tax levy for:
* Acquisition of parks, open space and natural areas.
* Acquisition and development of trails
and for the additional use of development and maintenance of open space, parks and trails.

This extension is for a period of 10 years through the fiscal year 2020.
