House District 37 Democrats and Friends,
First, I want to thank the delegates in attendance at the reorganization meeting who elected me to Chair HD 37. I really appreciate the confidence you expressed by voting for me and I will do everything I can to be worthy of your trust. Venita left some very high bars to reach for, so I am staying as close to her as possible):>).
I was not able to be there since I wanted to attend our youngest son's graduation from US Army Basic Training. I'm proud to announce that he did graduate and is now in Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He is planning to graduate in May and be commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army.
Please attend the next monthly meeting for HD 37 this Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at 6:00 PM MT for dinner on your own and 7:00 PM MT for start of the meeting.
This month's agenda will include:
Council-member Rebecca McClelland, former Mayor Protem of the City of Centennial with a recap of the past year as Mayor Protem.
Newly re-elected Arapahoe County Democratic Party Chair Mike Hamrick with plans for the next year for our party.
ArapaHOPE Community Team to enlist our support to work with this group in the coming year to maintain the wide network established in the last election campaigns.
Come out and join the effort to continue the work for hope and change in our country.
