Hello HD37 Democrats:
The Arapahoe County Assembly/Convention held on March 8 is now history. It was a busy day full of waiting, voting, cheering, more waiting. . . It is our privilege to live in a country where we can gather, express our views, and have a voice in choosing candidates - even when it seems like a long, tedious process. Please take a look at Precinct 221 Committee Person (PCP) John Holley's brilliant summary (#3) of why we need to stick together. Let's move forward and accomplish our mission: GETTING DEMOCRATS ELECTED!

#3: Democrats UNITE by John Holley (Thank you John for permission to use this article.)
I'm truly sorry things did not go well for 221 [ed. note: other precincts also experienced various challenges.] on Saturday, March 8 at the Arapahoe County Assembly/Convention. With all of my heart, I thank you for hanging in there, for trying, for doing what you did.
We've got a big battle in front of us, a huge one, and we need to remember that we're on the same side, we hold the same things dear to our hearts. It is our country, our country, and it is people like you, like all of us at the caucus and at the meetings, that will turn our nation from the sad path that we're on. But only if we don't start shooting at each other. Save your ammo, plenty of targets ahead.
We're on new ground now, what is behind us is behind us. We learn from it, fix what we can, make sure it doesn't repeat, and keep our energy focused on the huge job ahead. I'm just getting my feet on the ground, starting to semi-understand the local mechanics of the party. I know I speak for everyone involved, I will try to make it work better in the future.
Thanks for everything you've done,
John
[ed. note: Overall, we managed to accomplish our tasks on March 8 including nominating Diana Holland as our HD37 State Representative candidate, electing 28 Clinton delegates and 53 Obama delegates to the Congressional District 6 Convention and the Colorado State Democratic Convention, and much more. THANK YOU to all volunteers and participants - you should all be VERY proud.]
